Are you ready to face evil head on? At Hell’s 1/2 Acre evil is alive and well, but what path will you choose? Will you choose God as your savior or will Satan take over?

This is City Blood’s 2010 review of Hell’s 1/2 Acre.

What’s Good About The Haunt?
You’ll begin your trip to Hell when entering a Satanic Sacrifice/Seance room. This is where you’ll encounter God’s fallen angel, Satan. His minions do his biddings as He welcomes you to Hell’s 1/2 Acre. The actor portraying Satan is quite large in size and manipulates his voice using a voice changer. You’ll feel as if you’ve entered the dark depths of Hell. This is a great introduction into Hell’s 1/2 Acre before entering different themed rooms.

What’s Bad About The Haunt?
As noted above, the biggest highlight of Hell’s 1/2 Acre is the first scene involving Satan. From there, the haunt goes down hill. The majority of scenes have nothing to do with Hell. This includes a cave infested with vampires, graveyard and rooms that just don’t belong in this haunt. Hell’s 1/2 Acre would make a bigger impact if it just consisted of well put together scenes that focus on theatrics instead of animatronics. The rest of the haunt doesn’t live up to the intensity of the first room. Hell’s Half Acre needs more scenes that are a bit controversial and deal with the occult.

Customer Service:
Hanna Haunted Acres has plenty of concessions available at their various trailers. You can purchase a hotdog, burgers, snacks, cold drinks and more. There’s also an area that plays popular music near Entanglement Corn Maze. $13 is too high for a haunt that only has one effective scene. The rest of Hell’s 1/2 Acre falls flat and has you wanting more after you exit. Unfortunately the rest of the haunts aren’t worth $13 a ticket with the exception of Hanna Haunted Hayrides. For $21 you can enter two haunts and you tour all for less than $30.

Final Thoughts:
The first scene of Hell’s 1/2 Acre is what you’ll remember most about this attraction, but sadly the rest of your experience is forgettable. A haunt that is named “Hell’s 1/2 Acre” should involve the occult, devil worship, satanic sacrifices and everything that would make a nun blush. Hopefully elements of the first scene are incorporated into the entire haunt next year. If this happens, this haunt could become as popular as their classic haunted hayride.
