“Screams and Scares on the Farm”

Hanna Haunted Acres is a haunted farm with many attractions and plenty of fun. There was a chill in the air and we were ready for some scares. This is City Blood’s 2026 review of Hanna Haunted Acres in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Hanna Haunted Hayride is the most popular attraction at Hanna Haunted Acres and there’s a reason for that. It’s a good attraction for just about everyone and it’s action packed from beginning to end. It’s less actor based. It focuses mostly on detailed sets and props. You’ll travel past a butcher barn, cabin, church, pumpkin barn, junkyard and more. My favorite new scene is Sleepy Hollow which features animatronic pallbearers, the headless horseman and much more.
There’s plenty of delicious eye candy. This includes an animatronic werewolf, a roaring T-Rex, a massive Pumpkin King Monster, CGI Pumpkins, an electric chair, a flying dragon and much much more. There are some cool special effects that you won’t see at many haunts. The spider on the track that drops on the wagon was wild. You’ll suddenly stop in front of a train where it suddenly hits the wagon making it move. It’s very unique and jolting. The hayride concludes with a fast combine chase. This is a very cool attraction, but the acting needs some work. There were multiple chainsaw maniacs and not many actors to fill scenes. The actors that were present relied on jump scares and didn’t do much which was unfortunate. But with that being said, Hanna Haunted Acres is always our favorite attraction at Hanna Haunted Acres. We were on wagon number 3 and total tour time was 12 minutes.
Bitten is Hanna Haunted Acres’ vampire themed haunt. This is a beautiful attraction with great set design and plenty of hair raising props. Walk past old portraits before entering a room where a painting comes alive. A woman cries over the body of her sister that has a stake driven through her heart. There’s a falling chandelier and a disgusting dinning room where a storm is brewing. There are plenty of animatronics in Bitten like a vampire in a bed, a nursery with an animated banshee portrait and an animated bed and more. You’ll be asked if you want to drink blood in the expansive church. It’s quite impressive. The library was very detailed and large. Bitten has plenty of CGI effects and many vampires that are waiting to strike. Total tour time was 4 minutes.
Freakshow has been at Hanna Haunted Acres for many years. A carnival is serving up some tasty treats like ice cream, candy apples shaped like baby heads and cotton candy. There’s a variety of freakshow oddities. Walk past some toxic barrels before some come crashing down. This is a very detailed attraction with fun house mirrors, a spinning vortex tunnel and much more. A sleeping giant wakes from his slumber and he slowly rises as he sits at a dinner table. The backstage area of the circus was very interesting. Total tour time was 4 minutes.
Dark Echoes is a very spooky haunt. It’s dark and suspenseful. A massive skull drips water before you enter catacombs with skeletal remains. There are plenty of creepy scenes like a dark cave, a an Egyptian temple and more. The laser swamp was one of the best we’ve seen all year. It was red instead of green and featured a large boat you must walk past. Watch out for what lurks in the darkness. You’ll come in contact with many animatronics just like the majority of attractions at Hanna Haunted Acres. The massive Scissor Serpent and animated pile of bones were very eye catching. It’s a short haunt at a mere 3 minutes, but it’s good while it lasts.
Cannibal Chaos is the goriest haunt at Hanna Haunted Acres and one of the most memorable. A bloody barn is full of frightful sights. There are many scenes that would make The Texas Chain Saw Massacre look like a children’s movie. You’ll enter different areas of the barn like a disgusting kitchen, torture room, bedroom, twisted living room, and more. There are many props such as a Ford Truck blowing its horn, an animated grandpa, massive swinging pendulum blade, vicious werewolves, a corpse on an open fire and more. There’s plenty of detail to stare at and lots of taxidermy. Total tour time was 4 minutes.
Last, but certainly not least is Stalker Farms Corn Maze. Most corn mazes feature a few actors hiding behind corn stalks or lurking in the darkness, but Stalker Farms actually has some scenes which is great. This is one of the better corn mazes we’ve been to. There are a plethora of scenes that will catch your attention. A country cabin features a hungry grandma who wants some human flesh and you’re the main course. A bridge is illuminated in blue and moves back and fourth as you walk on it. There are animatronics here and there with a large alligator being the best. Total tour time 10 minutes, but could be longer if you get lost.
The Boneyard is one of the best midways we experience all season. There are photo-op stations, a jack-o-lantern tower, concessions galore, photo-op stations, carnival games, fire pits, various roaming characters and much more. Images synchronized to Halloween music play above the attractions. We were tempted to get our fortune told by the tarot card reader. Food includes corn dogs, cheeseburgers, walking tacos, pizza, chili, soda and so fourth. Lilith’s Apple Silo serves up cookies, caramel apples, Apple Cider, Hot Cider and more. There’s a Last Ride Coffin Ride Simulator that’s $5 per victim and Zombie Assault that’s $10. If you get a chance then be sure to check out Hanna’s D.O.A. This is a sensory deprivation experience where you’ll have a hood placed on your head and experience loud sounds, touch, water and more. Years ago Hanna Haunted Acres had what was called “Hooded” which I believe is very similar to this attraction.
General admission starts at $28.95 and can be as much as $44.95. Prices depend on the night of your visit. There are Fast Pass and Immediate Pass options, Fast Pass Unlimited and Hayride ticket options. Parking is free. Please visit www.hannahauntedacres.com for prices. I could write an entire review on the pricing alone. Hanna Haunted Acres has stepped up their game. The attractions are detailed, well thought out and very fun. Yes, the acting needs some work since it’s mostly jump scares without any meaningful dialogue. This is very apparent in Hanna Haunted Hayride. Most of the attractions are very short as well with the exception of Hanna Haunted Hayride and Stalker Farms. We were able to do everything in about 1 hour and 15 minutes with a Fast Pass. This included wait time, walking the midway and tour time. Haunt tour time was around 37 minutes. But with that being said, this is a well oiled haunt with a great midway, quality haunts and more. There’s a reason we visit every year.
