Dayton Scream Park (Dayton, OH)
“Old School Terror”

Embrace 21 Years of Chilling Delight! Experience the thrill and excitement of Dayton Scream Park, a haunted trail that has been captivating visitors for over two decades. Despite its modest budget, this haunt boasts over 100 actors who do their best to send shivers down your spine. Dayton Scream Park’s lack of a strict theme adds a sense of unpredictability.
Prepare to be immersed in a world where horror meets the bizarre. Witness a school bus inexplicably filled with toilets and a Cincinnati Bengals bus haunted by the spirits of players and fans. Other scenes include an Insane Asylum for children, a bloody deli, Chernobyl and much more. These creative and unusual scenes will leave you utterly bewildered yet fascinated.
Horror movie enthusiasts will be pleased to encounter iconic characters such as Jason Voorhees, Chucky, Michael Myers, and The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers. Each villain brings their own unique twist to the haunt, but I must admit that Leatherface and his menacing gas-powered chainsaw stole the show. Brace yourself as he lunges forward as he cuts into his helpless victim spraying the air with a crimson mist. The actors portraying Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers left a lot desire as they just stood their as we walked past them.
Although the animatronics are limited, Dayton Scream Park compensates with interactive elements that engage visitors. Prepare to face off against the Mutant, a fearsome animatronic that sprays unsuspecting victims with water. And don’t forget the unforgettable scuffle with killer clowns armed with foam pool noodles. It may not be cutting-edge technology, but it adds a personal touch to the experience.
Dayton Scream Park may resemble an “old school” haunt, but that only adds to its nostalgic charm. For $20 per person on Friday ($40 for VIP access) or $25 on Saturday ($50 for VIP access), you can immerse yourself in 50 minutes of haunting entertainment. As you explore, make sure to check out the tempting concessions, including T-shirts, hoodies, and delectable snacks. And don’t miss the opportunity to have your future unveiled by the palm reader on-site.
We visited Dayton Scream Park on its opening night and were somewhat disappointed with the average quality costumes and the absence of music in several scenes. The acting could also use some improvement. It was many years since our last visit, and we left with a lingering wish that some of the scenes were better designed.
If you find yourself in the vicinity, I recommend venturing through Dayton Scream Park. Discover the peculiar wonders it holds and tell them Noah sent you. Get ready for an unforgettable journey into fear and excitement!
