Asylum Haunted Scream Park (Louisville, KY)
“Zambies Are Everywhere!”

Asylum Haunted Scream Park is a destination for fear and fun. It consists of Darkness Falls on Asylum, Zombie City, Xterminate Mutant Attack and Zombie Hunting. This is a place where you can spend a little money, but enjoy lots of entertainment.

Over the years Asylum Haunted Scream Park has improved in big ways, but our favorite attraction has always been Zombie City. Zombie City is quite simply the most interactive haunt we’ve ever experienced. It relies on great story and participation from your group. I’ll do my best not to give away too much of the haunt since it has a great story that gets better and better as the haunt progresses.

You’ll explore areas of Blackwood City like the laboratory, the operating room, the security scanning area and much more. The actors are incredible. My favorite is the mad doctor whose injected himself with the Pandora virus and seems to get crazier and crazier. You’ll meet this oddball character in the pitch black darkness. Another crazy character is the psycho butcher and his dead wife.

Will you become infected with the Pandora virus or will you survive Zombie City? The next haunt is Darkness Falls on Asylum. This is a haunted trail that doesn’t follow a specific theme. Just about every scene you can think of can be found at this haunt. It’s pure terror in the deep dark wilderness.. Overall my two favorite scenes are the boiler room and the cursed church.

The boiler room has you traveling down a slide that leads to the city dump. Don’t drink the piss the actress offers you. The cursed church is pretty haunting. The priest isn’t human and he’s ready to drink your blood. Other scenes include the Blackheart Stables, shanty town, Hell’s Diner, a carnival, an insane asylum and more. The turned over bus that you must walk through is a great added touch and we always love the Salem Witch forest.

This is a long haunt lasting nearly 30 minutes, but could be longer depending on the person’s pace.  The last attraction is called Xterminate Mutant Attack. This isn’t the most intense attraction at the park, but it’s very fun. Who doesn’t like shooting creatures of the night and mutants that want to take a bite out of you? Aim for the head with your trusty light gun and hopefully you’ll make it out in one piece. It’s a much improved version of Xterminate.

Unfortunately, we were unable to experience the new Zombie Hunting attraction since it wasn’t open when we visited. But if it’s anything like the rest of the attractions then I’m sure it will be blast. You and a group of people must shoot as many zombies as possible as the dangerous flesh eaters attack your bus.

Enjoy live entertainment, games, tasty concessions and more at the Carnivale of Lost Souls. Asylum Haunted Scream Delivers once again. It’s scary, fun and you won’t break the bank buying a ticket.
