Victory of Light 2018: Let The Good Vibes Flow!
By Noah Wullkotte

The Victory of Light Expo is one of the largest gatherings of psychics in the United States. People from all over the country travel to the Sharonville Convention Center for palm readings, gemstones, Native American Art, seminars on Angels, classes on speaking with the dead and more. This 2 day event that took place on April 7th and 8th is massive and quite popular. You’ll be lucky to find a parking spot and it can get pretty crowded at times. You don’t have to have an interest in Astrology or spirituality to enjoy Victory of Light. There’s something for everyone at the expo.

It’s like a gypsy flea market on steroids. This will be the first year I attended classes and they can be a mixed bag for the most part. Luckily the 91 seminars are free with the exception of a few. World renowned medium and clairvoyant Lisa Williams was the headliner. The first seminar I attended focused on spirit animals. The teacher more or less read from a book the entire time and the attendees would ask what their spirit animal was. I was rather bored and didn’t believe a word the woman was saying. The second class took place in the same room and focused on Wicca. This was taught by the owners of Enchanted Memories in Milford, OH. It’s a small shop with books and gifts on meditation, nature, Wicca, Samhain and what not. Their scented soaps are to die for. They even offer a workshop on how to do palm readings.

The class was very enjoyable and lasted around an hour. It was obvious that the teachers knew what they were talking about and really enjoyed the practice of Wicca. It’s a Pagan religious movement with its prime focus being nature. There are some weird sights at the Victory of Light Psychic Festival, but that’s to be expected. It’s not unusual to see someone dressed as a fairy or a witch. There’s also plenty of music being played throughout the convention center. You will definitely hear a Native American flute once or twice. Hell, I even heard a didgeridoo.

There are also plenty of people who claim to be able to heal your pain with bizarre methods. But that’s an article on its own. Rather you believe in psychics or not, Victory of Light is a great time and definitely memorable. Tickets are $15 for one day and $25 for a weekend pass. People 60 and older get a $2 discount. So do students with an ID. There’s plenty of food available in case you need to get a bite to eat. There’s hamburgers a plenty and a few vending machines. This is my absolute favorite event at the Sharonville Convention Center. I’m always impressed by how organized it is and how they manage to use the entire venue without it seeming to be overcrowded with vendors. Parking is even free, but it fills up fast.
