Lost Soul Asylum (Aurora, IN)
“Old School Haunt From Bygone Era”
By Noah Wullkotte: email@example.com
Lost Soul Asylum is a charity haunt that benefits the Aurora Fire Department. You’ll walk through a funhouse arch before you purchase your tickets. There is a small concessions stand that’s provided by Heros for Hope. Lost Soul Asylum is a 7 minute haunt that has a variety of scenes that are sure to entertain adults and children alike. There are scary elements, but it’s not too frightening.
You’ll meet horror movie villains like Pinhead in his torture chamber. There are killer clowns and it’s no laughing matter. Pennywise the clown looks like a prop, but he’s an actual actor. I definitely wasn’t expecting that. You’ll come in contact with Michael Myers twice throughout the haunt. Most of the horror movie scenes are based on classics like The Exorcist and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The Exorcist room has a static prop of Regan MacNeil and Leatherface can be a little intimidating in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Room.
This is a pretty short haunt and after you exit you’ll enter a graveyard full of standard Halloween props like ghost blow molds, tombstones, zombies etc. It adds about 2 minutes to the experience. You’re not going to find big budget props at Lost Soul Asylum. It’s an old school haunt with props you might see at your local Halloween store. The doll room had a creepy girl on a swing and the hospital featured a levitating patient. The crazy doctor was the best actor at Lost Soul Asylum. He carries a machete and he’s not afraid to use it.
Tickets are $8 a piece and on Saturday, October 27th they have their lights on event. It’s only $5 and includes treats for kids. It goes from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. Be aware that there’s construction going on around the haunt which might make it harder to get to. Lost Soul Asylum is an old school haunted house that resembles a Jaycees haunt from a bygone era. It’s great fun for the family.
