Entanglement Corn Maze-“Corn, Glorious Corn”
I wasn’t expecting much from Entanglement Corn Maze and I ultimately walked away disappointed. It’s a shame because this haunted maze has so much potential, but little time and effort is made into making this haunt something special.
Length-9: Time will vary depending on how well you navigate through the haunted corn maze. Unfortunately Entanglement is full of dead spots. It will take anywhere from 10-30 minutes to find the exit.
Design-6: This is a tough maze to navigate, but there is no excuse for not having any scenes. One day I would like to experience a haunted corn maze that can compete with regular haunted houses or trails. It just seems that the majority of corn mazes out there have been made to just make profit. This could be a frightening haunt if scenes were incorporated into it.
Props/Animatronics-5: There are a few cheap props here and there, but nothing that truly impress you. High end animatronics that are found in other haunts at Hanna Haunted Acres would help this haunt immensely. But the only real prop you’ll find are the corn stalks.
Acting-5: Why is that every single corn maze I’ve experienced has one chainsaw wielding maniac after another. The creators can surely come up with something more creative. Also why is that Michael Myers is always hiding behind a corn stalk. None of this makes sense to me and after you’ve seen your 10th chainsaw of the night or your 5th Michael Myers it’s starts losing its impact.
Scare Effect-7: Being lost in a confusing corn maze at night can be a scary experience. If you are terrible navigating through haunted mazes, then your in for a fun experience.
Fright Value: $10 is expensive for a corn maze that mostly relies on just the maze portion of the haunt. If some animated props and intense actors were thrown into the mix, this haunt might be worth the $10 admission price.
Final Stab-5.8: Corn Mazes never score high and there’s a big reason for that. Little effort is put into these haunts and it just seems like a way to make a quick buck with little effort. One day I would love to see a corn maze that could compete with themed haunts, but unfortunately I don’t think that will be happening anytime soon,
