The newest addition to Psychomania, The Theater of Terror is their brand new haunt Quarantine. It's a military style attraction that has some unique elements to it. We were really unsure as to what to expect from this haunt, but overall we enjoyed our experience and would go through again.

Length-8: Your tour through the infected halls of Quarantine will take anywhere from 15-20 minutes to complete. At times there are moments where you are wondering when an actor is going to show up, but this isn't a common occurrence.

Design-7: As you may have guessed by now, the entire haunt is modeled after a society that has been affected by radiation. Before you ever enter Quarantine you'll wait through a queue line that resembles an old bunker where people would hide in case of a nuclear attack. You'll see old burnt TVs playing cartoons and news clips explaining what to do in case of an attack. It's quite humorous watching a cartoon showing how a turtle will be fine if it hides in its shell. You'll also notice old computer equipment and lights above flashing on and off.

Once you are done waiting in line you are ready to enter into Quarantine. Scenes include medical tents, infected areas, an old classroom and everything you would expect from a city that has been taken over by the infected. Most of the scenes are good, but could be a lot more creative.

Props/Animatronics-6: Quarantine isn't full of high tech animatronics or anything that will really amaze you. All the decor present fits the theme well, but I'm sure next year there will be an increase in props instead of hanging lights, busted tubes and pipes and just your typical decorations you would expect in a military themed haunt.

Acting-7: There are a variety of different creatures and mutants that have been contaminated at Quarantine. These involve army sergeants who yell orders, large mutants who talk on stilts, men and women who have been infected by radiation and some really sick and twisted actors. The most memorable actor of the night is the strict nun. You will eventually come upon a scene that involves a nun who proceeds to order you to say the Lord's prayer as she teaches an empty classroom. The acting throughout the haunt is good, but could be better. Many of the actors rely solely on yelling or screaming instead of using some great dialogue that goes with the infected by radiation theme that Quarantine is going for.

Scare Effect-7: This is a very hectic haunt from the very start. You will feel as if you are being transported into medical tents and bunkers because you've been infected by large amounts of radiation. It's a very unnerving feeling and once another group catches up with you the real mayhem begins. It's like having sheep for the slaughter.

Customer Service: The night we visited one of the workers pointed us in the wrong direction of where to go so we ended up watching the guy who performed with fire. Eventually we walked inside to find out that the actors were on break. Even though we had to wait a little the staff at Theater of Terror was very nice, there were concessions, a coffin ride simulator called Buried Alive (AKA Last Ride) and more to entertain you before you entered the haunt. The parking is also free since it's in the same lot as a shopping mall.

Fright Value: $15 is a bit high for a haunt of this quality. This is a good quality attraction, but isn't worth the hefty ticket price. Make sure and purchase a combo ticket so you can enter both PsycoMania and Quarantine for the price of $25.

Final Stab-7.0: Quarantine is a unique haunt since there aren't too many military/nuclear waste land type haunts in the Indiana area. Unfortunately there isn't much you will see at this haunt that hasn't been done a million times before. While Quarantine isn't as good as PsychoMania, it's well worth a visit if you purchase a combo ticket for $25.
