2010 Haunt News

Welcome to the best news covering Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana haunts. You'll hear breaking news here before other sites get a hold of the news. If you have any interesting news you've heard or know of, email us at jollypumpkin@aol.com.

"Dead Acres Adds A Nightmarish New Addition"

The ever expanding Haunted Hoochie at Dead Acres, has well...one again...expanded. Thats right, once again their haunt floor has festered and grown into a new addition for your 2010 enjoyment. Dead Acres has lengthened the outdoor leg of your jilted journey, with a sprawling cemetery packed tight with the undead one on top of the other. Exposed coffins and buried fiends wait to leap toward you in a cloud of chaos.

Holding alter over our brand new area dedicated to the dead, and segregated for the souls is a colossal church of epic proportions. It holds court over the chaos, and is your own personal gateway to the other side in case your soul should not escape. Be wickedly weary, the last soul to climb it stairs was so evil it knocked the head off the Jesus statue. Don't believe me, check it out for yourself as you stand in the shadow of this crumbling house of worship.

"Factory of Terror Shatters Guinness World Record!"

Ohio is now home to the world's largest haunted house. Friday August 13th Guinness World Records traveled to Canton, OH to take measurements of The Factory of Terror haunted house. The record at the moment was 2,262 feet, but Factory of Terror shattered that with 3,318 feet. This is an earth shattering record and will be one that' going to be hard to beat. City Blood congratulates Factory of Terror in bringing the world record to Ohio and making the buckeye state proud.

Each year the Ms Scary Midwest Pageant searches for the scariest female character.  Eight lucky "ladies" will vie for this prestigious award onstage during the Saturday Masquerade Ball.  These eight will be selected from all entries, submitted by April 16th, by a panel of judges from around the haunt industry.
