(Please Note: Awards aren't based on reviews. So someone who was rated lower may come out on top in The Haunt Awards. These awards are based on our experiences with the haunts, not how well they were ranked.)

Every year we review over 50 haunts in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. There are some that are good and some that excel far and above other haunts in one category or the other. These are those haunts that truly strike fear into those who can't be frightened and haunts that take scaring people to another level. These are the best of the best in haunts we've reviewed for the 2008 season.

The 2008 Haunt of The Year Goes To:

#1 House of The Dead at Terror Town. This Toledo, OH haunt is way ahead of its competition when it comes to detailed sets, high tech props and unique effects you won’t experience anywhere else. This is why House of The Dead at Terror Town has been awarded our Haunt of The Year for the second year in a row. It doesn’t get much better than this.

The Runners Up Are:

#2  The Haunted Hotel

#3  Dead Acres

#4  USS Nightmare

#5  Haunted Cave At Lewisburg

#6  The Dent School House

#7  Industrial Nightmare

#8  The Haunted School House
